His album Upside of Struggle features guest appearances by Sen Dog (Cypress Hill), Sick Jacken (Psycho Realm) and Tetsuya “Weeping Willow” Nakamura (formerly of War). The record showcases Kemo’s evolution as both MC and producer, moving between L.A. street slang and barrio Spanish while telling stories of struggle, identity and survival.
Before going solo, Kemo spent twelve years with Delinquent Habits, helping shape the Latin hip hop movement and worldwide hit “Tres Delinquentes.” After touring across Europe, Japan, South America and beyond, he launched a successful solo career through his indie label Dead Silence Records, releasing albums including Simple Plan, Not So Rich & Famous and Upside of Struggle.
